In both anticipation and celebration of the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty retrospective that will open at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4th, the designer has launched a limited edition skull scarf that is as edgy as it is enrapturing.
The design of the scarf features a combination of skulls scattered across the print that stem from the iconic skull icon present in the classic scarves to the Jellyfish skull from the Plato Atlantis collection and the Folk skull from Sarah Burton’s Spring/Summer 2011 show. The scarf is crafted of pure silk and retails at $495. It will be available for purchase in all Alexander McQueen boutiques from May 2011 onward, as well as ONLINE.
