On March 9th during Paris’ 2011 Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs showcased the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 collection. Sculpted jackets, blouses that buttoned up the back and below-the-knee pencil skirts ran through the collection. A miniature plastic mask sat atop the models’ hats.
Risque was the word of the show. Rubber dominatrix boots, platform pumps, diamond handcuffs and masks adorned the models as they strutted up and down a set with four working lifts and a staircase on each side that looked like the inside of a luxurious hotel in which the girls were “escorts”, slightly reminiscent of Pretty Woman–that is, after she received her makeover.
