On March 4th, in Paris, Alber Elbaz launched his Lanvin Fall 2011 collection, with the background and overarching principle behind the collection set as that of a weeping willow. Elbaz was quoted as describing the theme as a way to get back to the roots of fashion and the line’s tradition, and that it did.
Dark music, featuring a mixed soundtrack by Ariel Wizman, paired with harmonically pleasing, grounded looks of chic simplicity. The sensuality appeared hidden, but it was rather playfully hidden with the straight lines of the pieces mixed with long, alluring zippers and slight nips and tucks of the fabric.
