The famous, legendary surf brand Hurley has recently announced its collaboration with musician, artist and activist Brandon Boyd on an exclusive collection for both men and women that will benefit H.O.P.E., Helping Other People Everywhere, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on involving artists and their contributions in campaigns and programs that promote education and peace worldwide.
“My relationship with Hurley began over a decade ago and was born of a mutual appreciation for surfing, music, art and like minds. We have done projects together in the past but it seemed like it was time we truly put our collective heads together to make a real dent in a situation that affects us all, most importantly the swiftly growing problems in our oceans,” says Boyd.
Hurley will announce the launch of the Brandon Boyd collection with an art show featuring the artwork that the pieces are based on, and Boyd himself will paint a mural of the Hurley Space gallery for the show. This event is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, from 6 pm to 10 pm at the Hurley Space gallery in California.
