On February 11th, Robert Geller, a designer inspired by the painterly composition of Luchino Visconti’s cinematography, presented his Fall/Winter 2011 Collection at Exit Art during New York’s Fashion Week. The color palette reflects the work seen in Visconti’s rich cinematography. Deep clays, mauves and charcoals reflect the majesty of aged film, while shades of satin black, sand and slate emulate the level of sophistication that is apparent in Visconti’s actors.
Cupro tuxedo shirts, tailored blazers that subtly tease the eye with their playful cuts and proportions, and tailored pants designed from treated cotton exemplify the line’s luxurious look and feel.
